Rep. Iler: Our Long HB2 Nuisance Will Return

After Governor McCrory, Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger, and House Speaker Tim Moore dragged us through days-worth of unnecessary squabbling over the House Bill 2 the week before Christmas, a state Representative said to expect the issue of unmutilated “transgenders” in wrong bathrooms will be brought up again next year.

Rep. Frank Iler, an Oak Island Republican, told the State Port Pilot that the “bathroom bill” will not go away, and will require a “comprehensive plan for the state.”

Isn’t that what HB2 is — a comprehensive plan??

The issue will come up…I just don’t know. I don’t think it will be my teenage granddaughter sharing a shower with a high school boy. I was a high school boy, and I know how they can think.

For the duration of 2016, and especially last week, the LGBT pressure groups refused to accept anything less than the enabling of their “Ts” to visit the bathroom of their choice depending on whether they feel like males or females on a given day. There is no more discussion or negotiation to have besides what HB2 clearly delineates, unless lawmakers want to allocate mental health counseling funds for gender-confused North Carolinians.
